Margaret Aure Armstrong, 61, of Oak Harbor, died Feb. 2, 2009, in Oak Harbor. She was born on Oct. 30, 1947, in Los Angeles, to Russell James and Ardith Leona (Slaughter) Watson.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father Mahlon Green, and her brother Spencer Watson.
She is survived by her sister Deanna Montague of Oak Harbor; 4 children, Dean Armstrong of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Michelle Cordon of Springfield, Ore., Chad Mitchell of Reno, Nev., and Shawn Armstrong of Bend, Ore.; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; her former partner of 14 years and close family friend, Liane Cordes of Eugene, Ore.; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.
Burley Funeral Chapel in Oak Harbor has been entrusted with arrangements.
