Robert Dennis

Robert L. Dennis, a three-year resident of Whidbey Island, died Nov. 4, 2003, in Coupeville. He was born in Pueblo, Colo., May 18, 1938. Robert worked as a conductor for Union Pacific Railroad. He was also a Navy veteran.
Robert is survived by his wife, “Mardi”; daughter, Lauree Honas of Ellis, Kan.; sons, Steve Dennis of Anchorage, Alaska, and Mike Dennis of Eagle River, Alaska; step-children, Martin Hynes of O’Neill, Neb., Kate Hauter of Oak Harbor and Shawn Hynes of North Platte, Neb.; sister Colleen Lawson of Strasburg, Colo.; and six grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his brother, James Dustin Dennis.
Services were held Nov. 7 in Burley Funeral Chapel. Another memorial service will be held Monday, Nov. 10, in Aurora, Colo., at 3 p.m.
