Helen J. Kingston, better known to all as Jean Kingston, was born to Robert Leonard and Bernice (Hobbs) Cramer on July 13, 1929 in Portland, Ore., and entered into rest on Sept. 3, 2006 in Oak Harbor at the age of 77 years with her loving family at her side.
Jean was a past member of the Coupeville Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star (O.E.S.) serving as Worthy Matron in 1978-1979, receiving a Rosewood Gavel in recognition of her Service to the Order. Jean leaves behind her loving family, beloved son Douglas Kingston and his wife Pamela Jean of Alger, loving daughter Linda Scalf and her husband Rickey of Hillsboro, Ore.; a sister, Lois Celorie and her husband Bill of Portland; three grandchildren one great grandchild, with one on the way. Jean was predeceased by her loving husband Russil Merril Kingston on Sept. 14, 2000, and her beloved son Harold Kingston Aug. 31, 2005.
A private family service is planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Affordable Burial & Cremation Services, LLC of Mount Vernon.
