“The Big Kahuna”

Les entered the loving arms of his Savior on March 10, 2012 with his family by his side. He was born Nov. 4, 1938 in Oak Harbor. He enjoyed a long career as an Air Force pilot and served honorably in Vietnam as a Forward Air Controller. He was an avid fisherman, boater and world traveler. He is survived by Patricia, his beloved wife of 52 years; brother Larry (Kay) Roodzant; daughters Cindy (Brent) Rappuhn, Sheila (Steve) Settle, and Janie (Paul) Horton; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at the Family Bible Church located at 2760 Heller Road in Oak Harbor.

A military graveside burial service is 10:15 a.m. Friday, March 22 at the Tahoma National Cemetery at 18600 Southeast 240th Street in Kent. Both services are open to all.
