Rollena Evona Moreno, 65, longtime Oak Harbor resident, passed away at Harborview Medical Center following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Mrs. Moreno was born in Flint, Mich., on Oct. 15, 1945, to Roy and Maria Robinson. She lived in a variety of places, eventually settling in Albuquerque, N.M., where she graduated from high school. Moving to Moses Lake, she met Alfredo Moreno, and they enjoyed a 35 year marriage. The couple lived in Auburn for several years, before Alfredo entered the US Navy, which eventually brought them to Oak Harbor in Dec. 1983. She loved to do yard work, landscaping and camping with Alfredo.
Rollena is survived by her husband Alfredo, at home; her son, Jesse S. Moreno (Paige) of Anacortes and her daughter, Christine Graham of Lynnwood; her grandson, Nick McVey of Texas; two brothers, Ron Robinson (Christine) of Albuquerque, N.M. and Rollin Robinson (Joanne) of Oklahoma; sisters, Kip Brown of Wenatchee, Juanita Greigo of Albuquerque; as well as one other sister; also numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
