Larry Lee Bucy, age 67 of Oak Harbor, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2009. He was born in Caldwell, Idaho, on Dec. 29, 1941, to Ray and Gertrude Bucy. He graduated from Wilder High School in 1959 and attended C of I and San Jose Bible College.

Larry married Linda Ann Aubrey in 1962. They farmed in Wilder, Idaho, until 1966, when he was drafted to serve three years in the Army before returning to the family farm. Larry graduated from Boise Bible College in 1985 and began serving in full-time ministry. He served churches in Caldwell, ID; Redmond, Ore.; Marysville, Wash., and most recently Island Christian Church in Oak Harbor.

He is survived by his wife Linda; daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Tom Shepherd of Milwaukie, Ore.; son and daughter-in-law Scott and Ann Bucy of Las Vegas; three granddaughters, Aubrey LeeAnn, Brynn RayEllen and Hailey Marie; his father Ray Bucy of Wilder; sister and brother-in-law Marjorie and Ray MacDonald of Portland; brother and sister-in-law John and Connie Bucy of Wilder; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Larry loved the Lord and his family. His life was an outstanding witness to his faith; he will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Burley Funeral Chapel in Oak Harbor.
