Patricia A. Ernst

Patricia A. Ernst, the daughter of William and Edeline O’Shaughnessy, and wife of the late Frederick V. Ernst, passed away Nov. 21, 2003, at Yakima Regional Medical and Heart Center. She was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Oak Harbor. She married Frederick V. Ernst in 1943 and in 1951, with Jeffery, Dean and Rosemary, they moved to Everett.

The family lived in Everett for the next 30 years. Pat was a homemaker and mother, and later studied and became a licensed practical nurse. Fred and Pat returned to Oak Harbor in 1982, enjoying their home on Dugualla Bay until Fred’s death in 1985. Pat continued to live in Oak Harbor and enjoyed being the Grand Marshall in one of the St. Patrick Day’s parades.

Due to declining health, Pat moved to Selah in 1998 and lived the remaining years with her son, (Warren) Dean Ernst and family.

Pat is survived by her children, Jeffery Ernst of Eugene, Ore., and his children, Boone, Noah, and Luke; (Warren) Dean Ernst of Selah, his wife, Pam and children, Megan, Ashley, and Rachel; Rosemary Ernst Harrison of Port Orchard, her husband, Roger, and children, Margo and Amy; and one great- grandchild, Jessica.

At Pat’s request, there will be no service. Memorials in her name may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements by Keith & Keith Funeral Home, Yakima.
