Robert L. “Bob” Pass

Bob Pass, 82 years, passed away on Oct.11, 2006. He was born in Paris, Miss., on May 31, 1924. He joined the U.S. Navy on Dec. 26, 1942. He married Irene E. Krub on June 3, 1944, celebrating 62 years of marriage this year.

Bob served in the Navy for 30 years, retiring on April 30 1973. He then helped start a greenhouse construction business called Projects Unlimited, PU, for short! After that he and Irene filled their lives with new grandchildren, travel and helping friends and family.

Bob was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church. He was Masonic Past Master of Mount Baker Lodge 36 and Camano Lodge 19.

His parents Thomas and Cornelia Pass, and two sisters, Ruby Huckaby and Hattie T. Hill, preceded him in death.

Bob is survived by his wife, Irene; daughter Melody Kue and her husband Lee; son Skip Pass and his wife Jean; four grandchildren and their spouses, Beth and Jason Anglum, Kristi and Brady Guinn, Nicholas and Kendall Pass, and Caitlin Pass; and four great grandchildren, Tia Anglum, Kylan Guinn, and Hayden and Jamie Pass.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Salem Lutheran Scholarship Funds and Cancer Care Fund of the Skagit Valley Hospital Foundation.

A memorial service for Bob Pass will be Thursday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, Mount Vernon followed by a reception in the church hall.
