Donald Earl Berend

Donald Earl Berend, 57, died Nov. 16, 2008, at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle. He was born Oct. 5, 1951, in Seattle to John and Arleene Berend. His father John J. Berend preceded him in death. He was survived by his mother Arleene, brother Dan Nancy), nephews Matthew and Jimmy, girlfriend Meredith Forsey and other special relatives, friends and clients.

Don was a hard worker, friendly, sensitive and kind. Don worked as an all-around handyman and contractor, but was an artist in his soul. Some of his artistic contributions include historic dioramas for the Coupeville Historical Museum and Gettysburg. He was a treasured uncle and spent special time with his nephews. Don will be greatly missed by all. Cremation was held with private family inurnment to follow at a late date. Arrangements are entrusted to Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor.
