Lois Obenauer Bylenok

Lois Obenauer Bylenok, 80, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, peacefully and unexpectedly passed away in her sleep on April 18, 2003, in Tucson. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she graduated from the University of Buffalo, where she was president of Chi Omega sorority. She and her family lived in Amherst and Olean, N.Y., until retiring to Oak Harbor.

Lois was a committed career volunteer, very active with Camp Fire and the Catholic Church. Her pleasures included quilting, reading, bridge and her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leon; sons Brian (Carol Dayton) and Tom (Kathy), daughters Barbara (Michael) Mondrus, Lynn (Jim) Bob, Marsha (Richard) Radford, and cherished grandchildren, Nathan (Jeanne), David, Rachel, Conan, Laura, Ryan, Kelsey, Tom, Tasha, Ben, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass was held April 22 at St. Thomas The Apostle in Tucson.
