Aileen Carrin

Aileen E. Carrin, 95, 24-year resident of Whidbey Island, died July 25, 2005, at an Oak Harbor adult care home.

She was born in Frink, Fla., on July 25, 1910, to Charles Parrish and Gertrude (Pitts) Parrish. She was raised in North Florida. On Dec. 12, 1926, she married Francis M. Carrin in Miami. They lived in Miami for some time before moving to Palo Alto, Calif. After Mr. Carrin’s retirement, the couple moved to Klamath Falls, Ore., in the 1960’s. They moved to Coupeville in 1983. Aileen enjoyed sewing, cooking and reading.

She is survived by one son, Lyman Carrin and wife Joanne of Oak Harbor; one daughter, Phyllis Marmont of Pace, Fla.; five grandsons, Walter Marmont and wife Jan of Talent, Ore., Scott Marmont and wife Rosalie of Weed, Calif., Eric Marmont and wife Sabrina of Gilbert, Ariz., James Marmont and wife Nancy of Silver Hill, Ala., and Cecil Marmont and wife Debra of Pace, Fla.; 10 great-grandchildren; also, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis M. Carrin on Dec. 23, 1997.

In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor.
