Two Oak Harbor men involved in head-on crash

An Oak Harbor man is in serious condition in the intensive care unit at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after being injured in a head-on crash in the early morning Saturday, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident happened about 4:34 a.m. on State Highway 20 at Lunz Road on Fidalgo Island.
According to the State Patrol, Jordan L. Tauber, 21, of Oak Harbor, was driving a silver 2006 Ford F-250 pickup southbound on State Highway 20 when he crossed the center line and struck Gary R. Jones, 59, also of Oak Harbor, who was driving northbound in a black 2016 Ford Escape.
Jones was transported to Harborview Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries.
Tauber was uninjured, according to the State Patrol report. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident.
Washington State Patrol cites driving under the influence as a cause of the crash and Tauber faces charges of vehicular assault.
