36th Annual Kids Fishing Derby set for July 2.

The Oak Harbor Yacht Club’s Kids Fishing Derby returns for its 36th year Saturday, July 2, at Dock F of the Oak Harbor Marina.

Registration runs 10-11 a.m. and the derby from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event, hosted by the Yacht Club’s Buccaneers, is open to children up to 12 years old. Kids under 10 must be accompanied by an adult and wear a lift jacket. Adults can not fish.

Bait will be provided, but kids must supply their own pole and tackle.

The derby is free and will include lunch and prizes.
