Canes celebrate 65th anniversary

Lou and Bob Cane celebrated their 90th and 100th birthdays, respectively.

The couple also celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in August with a family party held at DH Buffet in Oak Harbor.

Lou was born in Gurley, Neb., Aug. 11, 1924; Bob was born Aug. 20, 1914, in Shanghai, China.

The Canes were married  Aug. 13, 1949, in Seattle.

They have two sons, Mike (Sheila) of Cheney, Wash., and Greg (Bobbie) of Oak Harbor. They also have two granddaughters, Emily of Rocklin, Calif., and Arianna of Bellingham.
