Another propane truck incident

One week after a propane truck crash closed Highway 20 and forced the evacuation of several homes near Outlying Field near Coupeville, another one was involved in an accident Monday afternoon.
Fortunately, Monday’s most recent propane truck accident was relatively minor.
“This one was a whole lot less eventful,” said Joe Biller, chief of Central Whidbey Fire and Rescue.
The propane truck was traveling north on Highway 525 in the Ledgewood area. It was trying to make a right turn on the 28000 block of Highway 525.
The truck swung left to make a right turn. At that time, a late-model Dodge pickup tried to sneak around the propane truck and collided with it on the right side near the rear of the passenger cab, Biller said.
Biller said a second truck arrived on scene to drain the propane out of the damaged truck.
On March 2, a propane truck rolled on Highway 20 after the driver sneezed and lost control of the vehicle. It crashed near the intersection of Highway 20 with Welcher Road.
