Letter: Sorry for speculation in recent column

I would like to apologize to readers for including some unfair speculation in my latest column in this paper. A careful reader who applied some critical thinking skills caught me in some poorly thought out speculation, when I wrote that the “billionaire class has more than its share of the corrupt and depraved.”

I have no convincing proof for this assertion. Now if the DOJ would release the remaining million plus items in the Epstein file I might or might not have something to support such a claim. But they haven’t and I don’t. I will try and do better in any future columns.
