On Aug. 9, siblings Ronin and Wren Alejandre set up a lemonade stand outside of Popsies in Oak Harbor, selling homemade lemonade, lemon treats and stickers to sweet-toothed passersby. In the Fall, they plan to sell hot cocoa. Cutie Cups is open to invites from local businesses, and can be reached at snikita1988@yahoo.com.
Cutie Cups Founder and Owner Ronin Alejandre and his 4-year-old assistant, Wren Alejandre, show a reporter some of the fruits of their labor. The Alejandre family moved from Alaska to Oak Harbor last month, but Ronin is already making connections in the community.
Ronin Alejandre, who turned 6 on Aug. 17, dreams of becoming a YouTuber when he grows up. To buy his own equipment, he decided to get in the lemonade business, helped by his sister and his parents. He also came up with the name “Cutie Cups,” according to his mother, Niki Alejandre.
“He’s always wanted to have his own business and do his own thing and be his own boss,” she said.
