Doug Speers grew up in San de Fuca, earned degrees at the UW and Stanford and was Chief of Hydrologic Engineering for the Corps of Engineers in Portland. He was married for 59 years to Alice Chapman of Everett. His survivors include Alice, son Paul (Susan) and daughter Kathleen, and granddaughter Phoebe. His funeral will be held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 111 NE 80th, in Seattle on Saturday, August 27 at 11 AM. Please sign the guestbook at funerals.coop.
