The boat launch ramp at the Oak Harbor Marina is temporarily closed due to damage sustained in strong winds over the weekend.

“What we normally expect to have kind of a straight ramp going out into the water is not straight anymore,” said Oak Harbor Mayor Bob Severns during Tuesday’s city council meeting.

City representatives did not yet have an estimate for how much repairs might cost or when the ramp will reopen.

“The city does not have any additional updates as we are still investigating the damage,” wrote Oak Harbor communications manager Sabrina Combs in an email. “When an update is available, we will share them with the community.”
