Aiden, Kai and Matilda Cardinal, ages 10, 6 and 1, celebrate Halloween by climbing on a pumpkin that’s bigger than they are.

What’s big, orange and weighs exactly 405 pounds?

The pumpkin sitting in Oak Harbor resident James Cardinal’s yard.

Cardinal won the pumpkin from Haggen grocery store, which was giving the massive gourd away to whomever could most closely guess its weight. Cardinal’s guess of 405 pounds was right on the money.

The pumpkin is now living happily in his front yard, where his three children love to play on it, even if that means braving the autumn rain.
