Wildcats compete among best at Kent Classic / Volleyball

The Oak Harbor High School volleyball team split its matches at the Kent Classic Saturday, Sept. 21.

The tournament attracts most of the area’s top teams, and the Wildcats held their own in the highly competitive event.

Oak Harbor finished second in its pool, losing to Ridgefield 25-15, 25-14; defeating Jackson 25-23, 25-18 and Interlake 25-18 and 25-21; and splitting with Bothell 23-25, 25-19.

In bracket play against other teams that finished second in their pool, Oak Harbor lost to Mount Vernon 14-15, 25-20, 16-18.

The Wildcats (3-0) get back into Wesco play when they travel to Lynnwood (1-1) for a 7 p.m. match Tuesday, Sept. 24.
