The Oak Harbor High School tennis team defeated visiting Marysville Getchell 6-1 Tuesday, April 23, to remain a half game out of first place in the Wesco North.

The Wildcats (4-1, 6-5) finish the conference season against one of the two team above them in the standings when they go to Stanwood (4-0, 9-2) at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 26.

Snohomish is also 4-0 (7-0) in the North; the Panthers beat Oak Harbor 6-1 April 15.

Oak Harbor results with Getchell

Singles: 1, MJ Timm won 6-4, 6-2; 2, Sierra Brackeen won 7-5, 6-1; 3, Annie Salinger won 6-2, 6-2; 4, Danielle Lonborg won 6-4, 7-5.

Doubles: 1, Monique Stolmeier/Olivia Lerch, lost 4-6, 6-0, 6-4; 2, Frances Empinado/Emily Gouge won 6-2, 6-2; 3, Anne-Jun Lemoine/Erika Polack won 7-5, 6-1.
