Betty Jane Stevens went to be with our Lord and Savior on Jan. 20, 2018. She was 93 years of age.
Betty was born in Washington Township in Western Pennsylvania. She married John F. Stevens in 1943 and had two sons. They spent their retirement years, 1981-2008, near Phoenix. At John’s passing in 2008, Betty moved to Oak Harbor to be near family.
She was an active volunteer, working with special needs children and visiting at nursing homes. A source of great joy in her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by sons Ira (Frances) and Sam (Kathy); granddaughters Kelly (Garth Anderson) and Courtney (Jeffrey Acton); and great-grandchildren Kira, Grace and Kamryn Anderson, and Coen, Addison and Eliza Acton.
There will be a small graveside service in early March at Valley of the Sun cemetery in Chandler, Ariz.
