Thomas LaFountain – Sept. 7, 1937 – Jan. 23, 2017

Thomas LaFountain was born on Sept. 7, 1937, in San Pedro, Calif., to Elmer and Alice LaFountain. He passed away on Jan. 23, in Oak Harbor.
He served at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island and was a business owner, running both a construction company and an auto repair service.
He is survived by his wife of 58½ years, Grace LaFountain; his children Thomas LaFountain and his wife Melody of Roy, Wash., and Gavy LaFountain and his wife Delma, of Lacey, Wash.; his grandchildren Antoinette LaFountain, Danielle Sadler (Cori), Ashley Ganderson (Erik), Thomas LaFountain, Timothy LaFountain, Alexandra LaFountain and Keith Davis (Crystal); and great-grandchildren Alaina LaFountain, Alicia DeNoble, Jericho Davis and Austen and Ole Gunderson.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, five brothers and one sister.
There will be a celebration of life service from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Elks Club in Oak Harbor.
Grace would like to thank all the friends and family that were there for her and Thomas during their trying times, as well as thank all their friends at Burger King in Oak Harbor who were so good to them. Many thanks are also extended to the people at Hospice of the Northwest.
