It is with great sadness to say that Stanley Bolton Morgan, “Builder Morgan,” passed away peacefully in the early morning of Dec. 17. Stan was born in Oklahoma City on April 1, 1930. After his father was killed in an oil derrick accident when he was 11 years old, he was raised by family and kinfolk until attending college at Oklahoma State University.
He joined the Navy’s Seabees and drove with his new wife Carol and their little puppies to Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, where he was stationed. After his service he became a general contractor on the North End, where his work was sought after for innovation and style.
His projects dot the Oak Harbor area. He will be missed. He is survived by family Carol, Stan Jr., Steve, Scott and his brother Vance; granddaughters Taylor and Ashley; and great-grandchildren Maisy and Bennett.
