SR 20 single lane closures on Deception Pass Bridge on Tuesday and Wednesday

Traffic will be limited to one lane on State Route 20 across the Deception Pass Bridge at the north end of Whidbey Island next week.

Washington State Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crews need to close one lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3 and Wednesday, May 4 for the bridge’s annual washing. Routinely cleaning the bridge keeps it from corroding and makes it easier to inspect.

Flaggers will alternate traffic through the area. Drivers may experience delays up to 15 minutes.
