David Ray Inman

David Ray Inman, 40, died suddenly on March 7, 2011, in Bremerton. He born on Nov. 9, 1970, at Sharp’s Hospital, San Diego, to Fredrick and Shirley Inman. David’s father was in the Marine Corps and David followed Dad’s duty stations from San Diego to Orange County, Calif., to Roseburg, Ore., and finally to Oak Harbor and Whidbey Island Naval Air Station, where Dad retired.
Dave attended Oak Harbor High School, where he found his passion, working construction. He worked several jobs while in school. He graduated with the class of 1989, and following graduation, he pursued construction, working for himself at one point and with several other local contractors. Last year, he was hired by the Nova Group to work at the Bremerton Ship Yards, building concrete piers for the aircraft carrier docking area. Dave enjoyed music, bowling, shooting pool, hiking, shooting and being with friends.
Dave is survived by the love of his life, Colleen McKimmie, by his mother Shirley Inman of Oak Harbor, his father Fred Inman of Texas, one sister Beverly Ashby and husband Scott of Snohomish, and two nephews.
A Viewing and Farewell for Dave Inman will be held on Sunday, March 13, at 12 noon at Wallin Funeral Home, 1811 NE 16th Ave., Oak Harbor. Friends are invited to share stories and memories at that time. Friends and family are also encouraged to share memories and condolences at www.wallinfuneralhome.com.
