Experience tops corny phrase

Patricia Terry claims that she will bring “fresh eyes” to the office of Island County clerk. This seems like a silly slogan for someone who has no experience as a clerk. “Fresh eyes” is a corny campaign phrase.

In contrast to her opponent, Debra Van Pelt’s realistic qualification is five years’ on-the-job experience. Think about it. I’m voting for Debra.
