Sherrie Ann Breazeal
Published December 13, 2009
Sherrie Ann Breazeal (Burton-Breazeal), 54, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 13, 2009, while at home, with her family at her bedside.
She born was in Spokane on Dec. 16, 1954. Sherrie married the love of her life, Gary Breazeal, on Sept. 24, 1988 at the Oak Harbor Southern Baptist Church. Together, she and Gary raised her son, Eugene.
Sherrie is survived by her beloved husband, Gary, her son Eugene W. Burton-Breazeal, brothers Richard Richardson and Donald Richardson, her sister Colleen Larkoski (Richardson), and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. Sherrie and Gary made Oak Harbor their home and were heavily involved with the local community. She last worked in the vehicle licensing office at Oak Harbor Motors.
Sherrie was an avid dancer — it was her passion. She absolutely loved twirling about on the dance floor, without a care in the world. Her favorites included ballet, jazz, line and hip-hop. In fact, she devoted her spare time to the Senior Center and worked with the elderly in a program called, “Dance for Exercise.” Sherrie enjoyed the outdoors, going camping and frequenting the local farmers markets.
She adored her family, had an amazing zest for life, and thrived on helping others. She was a very kind, soft-hearted woman, who devoted her life to the Lord. Sherrie will be missed dearly by her countless friends and family, and we all know that she is “dancing with the Lord” now.
A Celebration & Remembrance Service will be held Saturday, Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. at Living Word Fellowship at 490 NW Crosby Rd., Oak Harbor. There will be a potluck following the service. Please join us in celebrating Sherrie’s life. For more information, please call 675-5008.
