Robert James Shores

Robert James Shores passed away Oct. 11, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 51. He was born in Anacortes and attended school in Coupeville. He joined the U.S. Army in 1975. His illness brought him home back to Oak Harbor after living in the Vancouver, Wash., area for 25 years.
Rob is survived by his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Bill South of Oak Harbor; three sisters, Deborah Rivera of Coupeville, Cathy Benedict of Oak Harbor and Tuni Lucio of Sammamish; a brother, Frank Shores of Vancouver; a daughter, Lindsay Shores of Portland, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.
