James Walter Martin Bishop, 44, of Oak Harbor, died Nov. 24, 2008, at his home.
Mr. Bishop was born in San Diego on Dec. 10, 1963, to James Monroe Bishop and Marlene (Hussong) Bishop. He graduated from high school in San Diego and was employed as a legal secretary. James had been currently working as an independent contractor.
James loved to fish and watch football. He was an avid Chargers fan. He was of the Catholic faith.
James is survived by his fiancée, Heidi Moran, of Oak Harbor; his daughter, Elisha Bishop and granddaughter Elicia Bishop; his sister, Maria Williams and husband Tom of Cookville, Tenn.; also, numerous nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
In keeping with his wishes, no local service will be held. A scattering ceremony will take place in San Diego.
