Jeffery T. Schultz

Funeral services for Jeffery T. Schultz, 50, of Silvis, Ill., were held Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial followed in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 conducted military honors.

Jeff died Sept. 7, 2006 at his home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Jeffery was born Feb. 9, 1956 in Moline, the son of Fred and Shirley (Williams) Schultz. He attended United Township High School before moving to Oak Harbor where he owned and operated Schultz Maintenance for 20 years. He moved back to the Silvis area in 2003 and had been working as a handyman. Jeff was a U.S. Navy Veteran and was a true Chicago Bears fan.

Survivors include; his children Lindy Schultz Mejia, Oak Park, Ill., Sarrah (Brian) Frei, Oak Harbor and Steve Schultz, Oak Harbor; grandson Hayden Frei, Oak Harbor; his parents Fred and Shirley of Silvis; sisters Teresa (Dave) Nelson, Rock Island and Brenda (Dave) Christensen, East Moline; and brothers Mark Schultz, East Moline, Steve (Deana) Schultz, Castle Rock, Colo., and Gary (Beth) Schultz, Williamston, S.C.
