Marguerite Tipton

Mrs. Marguerite Tipton, 87, Oak Harbor, died July 30, 2006.
Born Nov. 17, 1918, in Grandpass, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late John Long and Edna (Nelson) Long. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Tipton, twin sister, Marjorie Hultz, sister Iverne Petitfils and one grandson, Robert Hofelter.
Marguerite loved to sew and was an accomplished seamstress. She attended beauty school in Santa Maria, Calif., and delighted in doing her friends’ hair, although she never worked in a shop.
One daughter, Joyce Woodfin, of Oak Harbor, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive her.
No funeral services will be held in Oak Harbor. She will be interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cypress, Calif. Arrangements are entrusted to Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor.
