Anna Elizabeth Anter, our beloved Mother, Ooma, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, true and loyal friend went to her Lord on May 31, 2006, in Coupeville. She was born July 21, 1916 in Dortmund, Germany to Barbara (Napierala) and Franz X. Rydlewski.
Anna was a woman of many gifts, talents and humor and most significantly, an extraordinary capacity to love. She was a fierce protector of her children and grandchildren and all that she loved. She was loved just as fierce by all of us. She was truly a gift from God and a blessing to all that knew her.
Anna is survived by her children Monika Cellina of Milan, Italy, Renate Grimm of Hanau, Germany, Hans Anter of Fountain Valley, Calif., Barbara Hernandez (Ralph) of Alta Loma, Calif., and Michael Anter (Lori) of Oak Harbor; her grandchildren, Elke, Moni, Sylvia, Michele, Anders, Sean, Christopher, Maria, Deanna, Ellie and Demi; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Rudy Anter and son Rudy, Jr. We love you forever!
Funeral services for Anna Anter will be held Sunday, June 4, at 2 p.m. at Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor with Pastor Grafton Robinson of the Oak Harbor Southern Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Coupeville. Visitation will precede the services from noon to 2 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor.
