Virginia F. Norton

Virginia F. Norton, 65, long-time resident of Oak Harbor, died at Whidbey General Hospital on April 18, 2006, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Norton was born in Sedro-Woolley on Sept. 17, 1940. She was raised in the Lyman-Hamilton area and had been a resident of Whidbey Island for over 30 years. She was an ardent quilter.

Virginia is survived by her daughter Rosa Caprara and husband Vince of Littleton, Colo.; two granddaughters, Melissa McClain and Nicholle Caprara and husband Ruben Chavez, all of Littleton; four great-grandchildren, Abigail Jeffreys, Eiryona Caprara and Mikayla and Vincent Chavez; two sisters, Margaret Littlefield and Zoe Sargent and husband Cliff, all of Yakima; two brothers, Charles Smith and wife Paulette and Dale Smith and wife Carla, all of Selah; and two half-sisters, Christine Morgan of Chehalis and Darlene Ammons of Sedro-Woolley. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold M. Norton on Feb. 23, 2005.

In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements under direction of Burley Funeral Chapel.
