Wilson ‘Rock’ Sudduth

Wilson “Rock” Sudduth, 62, of Greenwood, S.C., husband of Kathy Barnes Sudduth, died April 11, 2006 at his home.
Born in Greenwood, S.C., he was a son of Eunice Salter Sudduth and the late Henry Sudduth. He was retired from the U.S. Navy, where he served during the Vietnam War and was a member of Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Merriel Sudduth.
Surviving is his wife of the home; his mother of Greenwood; two daughters, Rebecca Ducken of Oak Harbor, and Tonya Kellum of Clinton, S.C.; two sons, Donald Timms of Oak Harbor and and Bruce Alewine of Woodruff, S.C.; a sister, Virginia Tipton of Lugoff, S.C.; a brother, David “Butch” Sudduth of Callison, S.C.; and 12 grandchildren.
Services were April 13 at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger McCoy and the Rev. Leland S. Scott officiating. Burial, with military rites, followed in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers include Steve Gunter, Tony Gunter, Danny Gunter, Mark Sudduth, Johnny Sudduth, Patrick Cole and James Hurley.
