Richard Kimbell

Richard Guy Kimbell, Jr. was taken into the presence of his Lord on June 9, 2005 at the age of 82, after a brief illness. His homegoing was celebrated June 13 at Family Bible Church with Pastor Jim Mikos.
Dick was born June 21, 1922 in Washington, D.C. to Richard Guy Kimbell, Sr. and Florence (Rinesmith) Kimbell. Retiring in 1985 after a long career as the Executive Director of Southern Pine Inspection Bureau in Pensacola, Fla., he continued serving as a full-time representative of the Navigators, an international Christian Ministry.
Dick was an avid golfer and sailor. But his greatest joy was in sharing Jesus Christ and his life with people; helping them to become faithful Disciples of Christ.
Dick is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marjory; his son Richard of Fremont, Calif.; his daughter Lee Ann of Starkville, Miss., and his son Reed of Streetsboro, Ohio. Six grandchildren, Michael, Nathaniel and Daniel Smith and Lindsay, Collin and Jack Trail also survive.

Cremation was held with private family inurnment. Arrangements were entrusted to Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor.
