Olive Brown

Olive Lucille Brown, 91, died Jan. 6, 2005 at Careage of Whidbey, two days after her 91st birthday.

Olive was born Jan. 4, 1914, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., to Frederick Hett and Rovina (Deevers) Hett. She was raised in Cape Girardeau, where she graduated from high school. She was married to Norman Leon Jones for 12 years, Gerald William Clubb for 35 years and Mervin Russell Brown for five years. All three husbands preceded Olive in death. She lived for a number of years in Harlingen, Texas, before moving to Oak Harbor, where she eventually was a resident of Harbor Towers.

Olive married Russ Brown in 1985 at the First Reformed Church in Oak Harbor. He died in 1990.

Olive is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Virginia Jones of Oak Harbor; two grandsons, Mark Jones and wife Doris of Washington, D.C., and Mike Jones and his wife Zoey of Midland, Texas; and four great-grandchildren, Megan Jones, Sydney Chandler Jones, William Edward Jones and Leah Marie Jones.

In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
