James Branstetter

James R. Branstetter, 35, died June 18, in Glasgow, Ky., as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.

The Decatur, Ill., native was a machine operator at Weyerhaeuser, served in the Navy during Desert Storm while stationed at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station, with Electronic Attack Squadron 139, and was a member of American Legion. He was a son of James Hurd of Decatur, Ill., and Mary Tooley Branstetter of Glasgow, Ky., who survive.

Funeral service were held June 23 at Patton Funeral Home, Park City, Ky., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Other survivors include his wife, Jennifer Branstetter; a son, Rusty Branstetter of Park City, Idaho; grandparents, Chat and Velma Ruth Hurd of Gamaliel, Ill, and Agnes Ford of Tompkinsville, Ky.; two half sisters; and two half brothers. His father- and mother-in-law, Larry and Eileen Carpenter of Mount Vernon, also survive.
