George William Morris died peacefully Feb. 1, 2004, in Mesa, Ariz., following complications from surgery. George was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
George was born April 17, 1925, at his family home in San de Fuca. He went to work right out of high school and spent 40 years working in the supply department at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station until his retirement in 1984. He took great pride in his accomplishments and career with the civil service.
George will be missed dearly by his wife of 48 years, Marian; daughter Pam Martino (husband Gary) of Mill Creek; son Keith Morris (wife Kathi, children, Courtney, Kyle, Carley, Kinsey) of Bellingham; daughter Cheryl Nelson (husband Leonard, children Jacob, Elizabeth, Spencer) of Portland, Ore.; daughter Tracy Piscoya (children Ryan, Alex, Lacey) of Anchorage, Alaska; and Leslie Ehlert (husband Jim and their son Evan) of Oak Harbor.
His three sisters, Wilma Johnson of Anacortes, Dorothy Ennen of Bellingham, Frances Krieg of Bellingham and numerous nieces and nephews, also survive. George held his family very near and dear to his heart.
George and Marian spent the last 17 years living between their adoring family and friends in the Pacific Northwest and their many wonderful friends at LaHacienda RV Park in Apache Junction, Ariz. He will be loved and missed, but never completely forgotten by all those whose lives he touched.
God bless you George, for all the years of happiness and love we shared as a family. You will always be a part of us, in our hearts, minds and spirit.
