Lucine Senescu

Lucine P. Senescu, 91, beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord Dec. 19, 2003.
Lucine was born May 25, 1912, to Frank and Tina Koontz of Fairfield. She graduated from high school and attended Washington State University and Cheeney Business School prior to joining civil service and working in Juneau, Alaska, where she met her husband Jack, who she was married to for 61 years and who preceded her in death in April of 2003.
Together, Jack and Lucine owned the Circle Shop, a men and women’s apparel store on Queen Anne Avenue in Seattle. Lucine was the buyer/bookkeeper for the store. They retired to Whidbey Island where they built their family home in Holmes Harbor Golf Course development and pursued golf and traveling. They were also members of the Useless Bay Golf and Country Club and Lucine loved her golf and was very active in the women’s club.
Lucine leaves behind daughter, Barbara Bishop of Freeland, granddaughters Kelli and her husband Jordan Stevens of Medford, Ore., and Staci and her husband Ken Longe-Marshall of Surprise, Ariz., great-grandchildren Kody, Nikki and Shelbi of Medford, Ore., and C.J. and Courtney of Surprise, Ariz., and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will be held by the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Visser Funeral Home, Langley.
