Lloyd Everett

Published December 7, 2003

Lloyd Everett passed away on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, of complications related to pneumonia. He was 87 years old. Lloyd was born and raised in Concrete where he lived on the family farm. The farm was homesteaded by his grandfather, Harold (Deb) Everett, who preceded him in death.

Lloyd married Lorna Elkins, also a Concrete native, and they were together more than 60 years before her death in September 2002. After working in Alaska and Bremerton, Lloyd and Lorna settled in Oak Harbor. He was employed as a government employee and was head estimator at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station. His sense of humor, wit and good heart will be missed.

Three grandchildren, Mark Everett, Leann Stein and Jill Clutter, survive him along with seven great-grandchildren. Lloyd will be entombed next to Lorna at Hawthorne Memorial Park Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the care of Hawthorne Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Mount Vernon, (360) 424-1154. Please share thoughts of Lloyd and sign the online guest register at www.hawthorne
