Vera Armstrong

Vera Armstrong 79, passed away Nov. 6, 2003 after a brief illness. Vera, known as Pat to her friends, was born on March 10, 1924 in Minden, LA. She married Edward D. Armstrong May 30, 1947 in Tacoma. They settled on North Whidbey Island in 1957.
Pat was a great homemaker who loved cooking, gardening, needlepoint and playing bingo with her friends. She also was the proud grandmother of 9 grand children and 9 great grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her two daughters Diane Fink and Richard Nelson of Coupeville, Janet Reed of Oak Harbor and her son Dennis Armstrong
and wife Nicolle of Bellingham. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward D. Armstrong in 1996. Pat requested no formal services but there will be a time of remembrance and celebration at her home on Saturday, Nov. 22 from noon to 2 p.m.
