The Coupeville and Oak Harbor high school football teams prepared for their season openers by playing in game-like conditions Saturday, Aug. 25.

Coupeville competed in a jamboree against Concrete and host Anacortes; Oak Harbor held its annual purple and gold intrasquad scrimmage.

Oak Harbor begins the regular season in Delta, B.C., at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, against Seaquam Secondary School.

Coupeville also opens on the road Friday, traveling to Port Townsend for a 7 p.m. game.
