Wolves suffer tough loss at Sultan / Soccer

The Coupeville High School soccer team outplayed host Sultan but it didn’t show up on the scoreboard Thursday, Sept. 19.

The Turks (1-1, 1-3) won 1-0.

“Last night’s game was just one of those games,” Coupeville coach Kyle Nelson said. “We were the better team on the field, but they scored on the first of two or three shots the whole night. We just could not get it to happen even though we probably had double digit shots.

“We controlled the ball in their half for the majority of time, but give credit to Sultan for playing some good defense.”

Coupeville (0-2, 0-4) plays a home non-league match with Kingston (0-3) at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.
