Wolves set 3 records at Lil’ Norway Invitational / Track

Setting three records, the Coupeville High School track team put in a strong performance at the 20-team Lil’ Norway Invitational in Poulsbo Saturday, April 21.

In the team standings, the Coupeville boys finished seventh (first among 1A schools) and the girls 10th (second among 1A teams).

3A Central Kitsap captured the boys meet with 117 points; Coupeville had 48. 2A Port Angeles was the girls champions with 118.5 points; the Wolves tallied 30.

Coupeville set meet records in both the boys and girls sprint medley (100, 100, 200, 400-meter legs) relays.

The boys — Cameron Toomey-Stout, Sean Toomey-Stout, Jacob Smith and Danny Conlisk — clocked a 1:41.74.

The girls — Maya Toomey-Stout, Lindsey Roberts, Ashlie Shank and Mallory Kortuem — posted a 1:58.

Kortuem finished seventh in the pole vault but set a new Coupeville school record with a leap of 7 feet, breaking the mark of 6-06 she shared with Makenzie Meyer.

Coupeville hosts Friday Harbor and Lopez Island at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 23.
