Wolves run in Bellevue Invitational / Cross country

Coupeville High School’s three cross country runners competed at the 55-team Bellevue Invitational at Lake Sammamish State Park Saturday, Sept. 23.

The big meet attracted nearly 2,000 runners.

The boys were divided into seven divisions.

Junior Danny Conlisk placed 40th (17:48.3) and senior Henry Wynn 63rd (19:00) out of 74 in the division for No. 3 and 4 runners from each team.

Freshman Sam Wynn took 207th (21:15.4) out of 251 in the junior varsity race.

CHS does not have an official cross country team. The trio trains with South Whidbey and follows the Falcons’ schedule.

South Whidbey competes at the Mountain West Classic in Missoula Saturday, Sept. 30.
