Update: Wildcats win two of four at Storm Duals / Wrestling

(Note: When the results for this competition were first submitted, the individual match results were not included. Below is an updated version.)

The Oak Harbor High School wrestling team split four matches at the Storm Duals Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Squalicum High School in Bellingham.

The Wildcats defeated Sehome 63-10 Squalicum 48-15 and lost to Bellingham 45-36 and Ferndale 42-33.

Oak Harbor coach Larry Falcon said his unranked team “kept a tight match with Ferndale and looked really good.” The Golden Eagles are ranked 12th in the latest Washington Wrestling Report poll.

In the Washington Wrestling Report individual rankings, Oak Harbor’s Caleb Fitzgerald is ranked seventh in the 126-pound class, and Blake McBride is eighth at 145.

Oak Harbor (3-6) goes to Everett (4-1) to face the 17th-ranked Seagulls at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5.
