Wildcats split final 2 matches / Tennis

The Oak Harbor High School tennis team concluded its regular season by splitting a pair of non-league matches.

The Wildcats beat visiting Mariner 7-0 Monday, Oct. 14, and lost at Monroe 5-2 Tuesday.

Oak Harbor finished with a 2-4 Wesco North record, good for fifth place, and was 5-8 overall.

Next is the Wesco North tournament at 1 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 22 and 23, at Snohomish High School.

Oak Harbor 7, Mariner 0

Singles: 1, Ridgely Briddell won 6-2, 5-7, 10-5; 2, Ezra Franklin won 6-0, 6-0; 2, Samuel Peek won 6-1, 6-3; 4, Jerome Dones won 6-2, 6-4.

Doubles: 1, Nick Krantz/Micah Franklin won 6-0, 6-2; 2, Ethan Snell/Yuji Caballero won 6-1, 6-1; 3, Luke Spencer/Lawrence Javelo won 7-6(7-3), 6-4.

Monroe 5, Oak Harbor 2

Singles: Ezra Franklin won 6-3, 6-1; 2, Briddell lost 6-4, 6-2; 3, Peek lost 6-4, 6-3; 4, Ben Servatius lost 6-0, 6-0.

Doubles: 1, Krantz/Micah Franklin lost 6-4, 6-4; 2, Snell/Caballero won 6-3, 6-1; 3, John Blankman/Javelo lost 6-1, 7-5.
