Although the Oak Harbor High School boys golf team placed two in the top-10 individually, the Wildcats placed fifth out of seven teams in the Wesco North match at Stanwood’s Kayak Point Golf Course Monday, April 17.

Oak Harbor’s Nick Krantz shot a five-over 77 to place fourth and Haven Brown fired an 83 to get ninth out of 41 golfers.

Next in line for the Wildcats was Nick Whitley (87), followed by Nate Thompson (89), Matt Boyd (105) and Will Nickelson (111).

Snohomish’s Nolan Armbruster was medalist with a 74.

Stanwood took the team title with a 413, three shots in front of Everett. Snohomish shot 422, Arlington 428, Oak Harbor 441 and Marysville-Pilchuck 445. Maryville Getchell did not field enough golfers to qualify for a team score.

Oak Harbor hosts Meadowdale, Marysville Getchell and Shorecrest at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at Whidbey Golf Club.
